If you think about monkeys, the baboons will surely cross your mind. Though Africa is inhabited by several species of monkeys, you will probably remember the meeting with these exciting animals.
The reason why I took several pictures about baboons, is the fact, that these guys did not show any fear from humans. Other monkeys, like guerezas and vervets were more shy, for this reason I was able to take less photos of them, therefore they are represented by two single pictures within this selection.
Going back to the stars, despite of the funny first look and sociable behavior and the fact that they are on the list of preys for several big carnivores, these animals are not stuffed toys. They are equipped with big and sharp teeth, aggression, strength, intelligence and courage to be effective predators and to protect their hordes against any intruder. They often raid human dwellings for plants and even for hunting down a sheep or a goat.
