As the first step of my long holiday, in October, 2018 I have made a short visit of my relatives in North-Rhine. It was just a quick running around the most interesting and emblematic points of this region, taking small family trips in the neighboring German and Dutch cities and towns, so this post is about mostly buildings.
The most pictures are taken inside or outside of cathedrals that are so frequently built here in comparison to any other place showing the wealthiness of the people populated this area in the middle ages and the early modern period, but I have also found some remarkable buildings from the contemporary period as well. One of the modern buildings used to be a military hangar and the other was a coking plant.
The pictures are taken in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Utrecht, Xanten, Soesterberg, Kleve, Kƶln, Essen and Maastricht.
